RENO COMPOSITE SQUADRON

Nevada Wing, Every Day!

 Aerospace Education (AE)

One of the three Missions of the Civil Air Patrol is to support Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) education. AE is focused on:

  • Cadets

  • Seniors (Adult Squadron members)

  • The Education Community

Cadets: AE and STEM education is one of the four elements of Cadet Training. Bringing together a common interest in aviation, aerospace, and STEM topics, the Cadet program instills an appreciation for the sciences and math. It also introduces Cadets to career opportunities in these fields.

Seniors: We share our love of aviation and Aerospace as part of our adult membership, and give the Yeager Award to members who complete a curriculum in Aviation study. The Aerospace Education Program for Senior Members (AEPSM) should be an integral part of every senior member’s CAP experience.

Education Community: The CAP provides multiple opportunities for support to teachers, homeschoolers, and schools with curricula, materials, and STEM Kits to aid in developing an interest in STEM topics and careers for all ages and grade levels. For more information on all our programs, please explore more here.

For any questions regarding the Aerospace Education Program at Reno Composite Squadron, please feel free to contact our AE officer.
